I am Ashkenazik. I umpire tennis tournaments about ten weeks per year, but otherwise am retired. I have a dry, often sarcastic sense of humor. I am liberal when it comes to most social issues and conservative regarding economic and judicial matters, but am always open to hearing other people's ideas. I have a good knowledge of the fundamentals of chess, bridge and tennis, and have given lessons in those activities. I like to bicycle, hike, ice skate and cross-country ski, and am very familiar with the hiking and cross-country skiing areas within a 4-hour drive of Montreal.
