I'm a biological sciences major and possibly doing a second major in Jewish studies at the University of Chicago. Although there's a pretty significant Jewish population here, I've found that most of the Jews here are guys - at least at the undergraduate level. So it makes it difficult at times to find a nice Jewish girl here. And I'd rather not date a shikse, so I'm keeping my eyes open for the right type of girl. I like reading, watching tv, hanging out with friends, playing my tenor sax, and practicing my Yiddish skills with my AEPi frat brothers (a Jewish frat). Although I'm in a fraternity, I wouldn't say I'm overly wild. I like to have fun, but I try to be nice. I'm usually the guy who comes back from parties early to bring home a drunk friend. Although admittedly, I can't stand smoke so that's probably another rea why I volunteer to take people home so that I'm not around that. But in any case, if there's a nice Jewish girl out there who's willing to try things out, I'm totally game.
My Ideal Person
I probably look for the qualities in a person that most people think of when they list what they're looking for in a potential girlfriend or boyfriend. When I think about girls that I want to date, I look for ones who are nice, sweet, kind, intelligent, and have pride in being Jewish. I'm not that particular with looks, although it would be nice to date someone that is attractive. Haha. Anyway, if the girl is overall a good person and fits those qualities, then I'd probably be very attracted to that girl.
