hiya, i'm here to hopefully meet some new people to talk and possibly meet up with. ideally i would like to form a relationship with someone, if a strong friendship and connection is formed. i'm of the opinion that dating and relationships don't work without first having a basis of friendship to build on!
outside of the work hours, i'm a big fan of spending my time outside; archery, hiking, surfing, astronomy, mountain-climbing/ rappelling, camping, and jogging are things i like to do when the weather's permitting. my favourite urban activity is probably shopping, particularly in antique and foreign shops to look for obscure furnishings and unusual/ old items ( 50s and 60s are best ) from the past.
another interest is food and cuisine. i love cooking for myself and for other people, and i usually try to make it fun and interesting. my assorted heritage ( israeli/ russian/ dutch/ tatar ) kind of pre-determined that i would eat a lot of different foods, with middle east and far east/ eurasian being what i make most often. however, i'll try just about anything as long as it's not meat; i've been a vegetarian for more than 10 years now, but not to worry, i'm not one of those militant card-carrying activist group vegetarians or anything like that. ;]
common interests are fine but yours don't have to be the same as mine, i'm all for meeting people with ideas and interests different from my own; i find that if two people are significantly similar it's almost like talking to themselves, know what i mean?
