I am new to SC and have been here less than a year.
I am a Registered Nurse, who is crazy about her job, and work only weekdays, which is pretty neat.
I have dogs, and do show them, so I do enjoy traveling. I think that laughing is good not only for the soul but for now its proven to actually help the body, so..you guessed it, I try to laugh as much as possible.
I love movies, almost any kind, like history, local as well as world, and am an avid reader.
It would be ridiculous to not write that I like eating out, who doesn't, and particularly like foods that are different ( not the basic steaks, chops and fish...) all foreign foods interest me.
I am a low maintainence gal, well at least i think so. I love doing my own gardening, and keep my home tip top shape..
I have spent many many hours sailing with friends when I lived in Florida (42 years worth) and find the water very restful and fun. I like deep sea fishing, and also bridge fishing if there are a bunch of folks fishing so we can get into fish tales. I have been out on Lake Murray twice this past month and have enjoyed the lake a lot.
I enjoy spectator sports, golf, basketball, baseball, etc. but have never done well in sports myself.
I am a giving individual perhaps because I believe that you owe back for the good things you get....these arrangements are usully win win. Like taking dogs to an altzheimer unit to spend time making someone less fortunate happy that you came that day.... The dogs like the visit, the residents are happy to have something to touch andI feel like I maybe did something good.
I love oldie records, XM, great shows, and even enjoy ballet, as long as I am not in the tutu.
I adore camping and have done a great deal of it. I ike swinging in a hammock on a cold night with afire and tons of folks drinking whatever with marshmallow chocolate smores, and hotdogs on sticks and laughing and more laughing and stories around the campfire.
Tubing near Georgia or NC on grades 1-4 is good, and its gorgeous there for kyacking too. But I don't like sitting on a beach chair for hours getting sun while we critique everyones bathing suit that passes by. Life has evovled more for me than that.
I have auburn hair, on the short side, wear glasses a bit. All my own teeth, and they are beautiful I might add.
My Ideal Person
If I could describe the perfect partner for me, he would be accepting, have a great sense of humor, be able to teach me things I don't know, and be sensitive to my needs.
He would have to like some of the things I like but not all, and he would have to like women in the first place, because I have so many wonderful great woman friends that I see frequently, and some men are intimidated by this.
He needs to like animals.
He needs to be passionate about something....
He needs to be funny, witty, and sweet. The kind of man who sometimes puts a gal on a pedistral if only for a moment (long enough to look up her dress).
