I am generally living a great life. The only thing that I really want to change is to add someone into the equation. I like to hike, to camp, drink good wine, cook, play with my dog, and hang out with friends and family. I grew up in DC, and while I think the hustle and bustle is fun, I have come to realize that I value the simple things in life. I find the fun or the value in most any situation, and am looking for someone who feels the same. My typical evening at home includes building a fire (or sitting on the patio during the warmer months!), pouring a glass of wine, and either reading, talking to friends, or watching a good movie. When I go out - it's generally to a place that has live music, or a restaraunt, or both! My ultimate weekend day involves going for a long hike or jog with my and then hanging out with friends or family afterward. I have pretty simple tastes - I value people and try to include as many good ones in my life as possible! The ultimate thing for me is to find that person who looks at the world the same way - and who makes the simple pleasures all that much better!
My Ideal Person
I am looking for someone to be my best friend, my lover, my biggest supporter, and my most honest critic - basically I am looking for a true partner in life. My only "must haves" are a good sense of self, a good sense of humor, and a real desire to build an adult relationship (although gainful employment is a close second). You are a hard worker, but understand the value of making time to play as well. Hopefully, you like to go hiking or explore some cool little area on a whim. You are most likely busy (aren't we all?) but have the time and energy to devote to those people you care about. You are educated, but comfortable around all types of people. You love your family, and appreciate their quirks. You totally enjoy laughing, and when you do, you laugh from deep down. You love life, and yourself, and have love left to give to someone else. Bonus points for being a dog lover, appreciating a good vegetarian meal, and being both confident enough to understand that every woman doesn't need a knight in shining armor and romantic enough to want to bring the horse anyway!
